Megan and John’s Tapestry House wedding in Laporte, Colorado, was straight-up dreamy. If you’ve never been to The Tapestry House, you’re missing out. This place is a total gem, tucked in the foothills of the Rockies. Think Victorian charm meets rustic beauty – gardens, a cozy mansion, and endless photo ops. The weather was perfect for a spring wedding, the flowers weren’t quite in bloom yet, the stillness of early spring was kind of magical, with the towering trees surrounding the ceremony space adding a natural touch that was just as beautiful as any flower.
Before the ceremony, Megan and John had one of the sweetest moments of the day – their first touch. They stood back to back, holding hands and taking a minute to check in with each other. It was super emotional, and you could see how much they cared about each other, just in that simple moment. They also prayed together, which added such a peaceful, intimate vibe before all the ceremony excitement. By the time they walked down the aisle, they were both glowing with happiness, ready to start this next adventure together.
Now, the ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, don’t get me wrong. But here’s where it got really fun – just as Megan and John were about to seal their vows, a whole bunch of chickens (and a rooster, or two!) in the background decided to start making a ton of noise. I mean, it was like a full-on poultry choir. Talk about an unexpected sound effect! Everyone couldn’t stop laughing, and it lightened the mood perfectly. Honestly, it’s those little surprises that make a wedding day unforgettable.
One of the coolest traditions at The Tapestry House is the placing of the brick. Megan and John got a brick engraved with their names and wedding date, which they got to place on the property alongside many others. It’s such a unique way to leave a lasting mark on the venue, creating a beautiful connection to the place for years to come. Imagine, their love will literally be etched into the grounds of this gorgeous property for future couples and visitors to see!
